Types of paper printed products

Flyers

These are paper advertisement intended for wide distribution and typically posted or distributed in a public place, handed out to individuals or sent through the mail. They are mainly A5 or A6 sizes can be printed one side or double sided, they are mainly used as give away with information regarding a business, product or event. They are made small and handy easy to give out.

Posters

. They are printed paper designed to be attached to a wall or vertical surfaces. They can be textural, graphical or both. They are designed to be both eye-catching and informative. Posters may be used for many purposes. These can be A1, A2, A3 or A4 size

Brochures

Are informative paper document used for advertising, that can be folded into a template, pamphlet or leaflet. Brochures are advertising pieces mainly used to introduce a company or organization and inform about products or services to a target audience.

Types of brochures:

• Two folds, this is Folded once
• Three folds, this is folded twice
• Custom, this can be folded to make a certain shape per user desire

Invitation cards

These are letters written to the recipient asking them to attend a certain event or function. They are printed on card stock papers or embossed papers. They can be of different sizes per your preference.

Business cards

These are cards bearing business information about a company or individual such as one’s name, professional occupation, company position, business address, and other contact information. They are shared during formal introductions as a convenience and a memory aid. Their standard Size is 9cmx 5cm.

Folders

These are folding cover or holder, typically made of stiff paper or cardboard, for storing loose papers.

Books

Are written or printed works consisting of pages glued or sewn together along one side and bound in covers. A single sheet within a book is a leaf, and each side of a leaf is a page

Calendars

Are charts or series of pages showing the days, weeks, and months of a particular year, or giving particular seasonal information.

Letter head

Is a sheet of paper with a printed heading stating a person’s or organization’s name and address.

Printer paper can also come in various weights which are the result of the thickness of an individual piece of paper. The thickness is calculated in pounds and grams.
